7 months ago, when I was preparing to move here, I told my boss I would be in Ohio for 6 months, and then I would be requesting a transfer to Indianapolis. The first thing I did when I arrived, was join this gym. And now, there will be no request to transfer to Indy. What makes Endeavor unique? The defense side of the house for sure. Krav, BJJ and Hit Fit classes are not something you find at every Crossfit training facility. Not to mention firearms training, and active shooter response and self defense seminars. Even the fitness side isn’t just Crossfit. It’s also Endurance, Unloaded, and Strength Club. In the 6 years I’ve been doing this, I’ve only come across one other gym that even remotely resembles Endeavor, and to do there what I do here, would cost twice as much! Finally, the owners, coaches, and members at Endeavor are all rock solid!

Success Stories From Members
The energy. The energy at endeavor is infectious. It is nearly impossible to have a bad workout even if you didn’t want to do it. Endeavor is inclusive and truly a come-as-you-are environment. The members are not judgmental or overly competitive. They are supportive and kind and always cheering each other on. The coaches are world class. They are experts in their field and never condescending. Their top priority is always the safety and well-being of the members. If you have an injury or aren’t feeling 100% they will cater to whatever your limits are. The answer will always be “that’s ok, do this instead.” (That is, of course, after they give you “the look” just to make sure you aren’t sandbagging. Every coach is aware of almost every members strengths and weaknesses and strive to make them better. Everyone at Endeavor just wants what is best for each other. At the end of the day it’s just a cool place, full of cool people who like to throw weights around and beat each other up!
Endeavor = world class training. I have paid for personal training at other places in the past. I can say I get more person attention in a group setting than I did with one on one training elsewhere (and much, much cheaper!). It does not matter your skill level or ability, AJ and the other coaches will find something to challenge you but that is attainable. The coaches know when to push you to do more and when to tell you to scale back (this is huge in injury prevention). The atmosphere and comradery is amazing. I would say it is a family, but it is better than a family because everyone is happy from those exercise endorphins.
For me, I didn’t join a CrossFit training facility for years because I had heard so much about how so many people were injured. I came to Endeavor because of the coaches. Because the coaches actually care about form over getting the max number of reps in. Because the coaches are going to help me build, grow, and do better at each lift instead of pushing me to go faster or put on more weight (that is – unless I actually do need that little kick haha). The training, attention to detail, and importance that you put on continuing your education is so key and, in my personal opinion, what sets you aside from so many other training facilities. And of course, once you all brought me here, I immediately noticed that I joined a family and was given the absolute pleasure to work out with some of the greatest people I’ve met. There’s a reason I drive about 30 mins just to get to Endeavor!
My “Endeavor” began when I first took the free Active Shooter class with Aaron, Chad and Rob. Their mix of knowledge and experience combined with the levity of a serious subject, made the class very enjoyable and memorable. We were given the tour of the rest of the facility, but in no way felt pressured to join. My first day doing the start test, I met AJ and our small 7 a.m. group. I felt like I could win, at least with the group I was with. Then I was sadly served a tremendous helping of humble pie by coming in dead last! Not to mention having involuntary protein shake spills in front of AJ while lying in the lobby. I was crushed, but I felt I could only make improvements from that point. With each week I felt improvements and noticed that the gasping for air at the end of every workout got easier. I appreciated the structure of each class and how even with questions we always ended on time. Every coach I had pushed me to give everything I had in a way that reminded me of high school sports, without coming off as abusive or belittling. At the end of six weeks I committed to signing up, because it was a great experience. The next day Aaron announced that I had won. I was blown away. Now I go in, think about our first test workout and remember the taste of that humble pie. Because we are all in our own stage of progress, but we only know our limits when pushed past them with the group.
